Happy Birthday to Me...

...Happy Birthday to ME... Happy Birthday to MEEEEEEE... Happy Birthday to ME Early! I know that you hadn't seen that version before, but it is gaining popularity. No, it is not my birthday yet. No, I am not going to tell you all when my birthday is either. If you know, you
know! I know, I am mean. I have already picked up my gift though. You guessed it... my wedding band came in... EARLY. I told David that I would not pick it up until closer to my birthday, but as hard as I tried it was not possible. I picked it
up and put it on. Amazing I must say! I had been having some buyers remorse, but I was cured soon after its arrival. It is taking some getting used to, but I think that I will cope.

The weekend was a good one. I was off on Friday. I decided to lay low because I was just coming off ANOTHER root canal the afternoon before. Just to make it clear. I did not need root canals because the teeth had cavities. (For real... I am a dentist's kid) Both of these teeth had brackets on them for over 5 years when I had braces. When my braces came off my Mom said that I would be lucky to get a few years out of them before they became to sensitive to take. I made it over 10 and I recently had to give in to the sensitivity. X-rays pre and post op are to the left. So anyway, Friday... I just hung out with my Mom. Friday night we caught up with some friends for dinner.

Saturday I didn't leave the house not once... it was great! David decided to go into work to get a head start for his company's close week this week and Binx and I kept his spot warm. I got up and made breakfast for us and David was home just as it was finished. Then, I scrapped and we both worked on sprucing up the house for our BBQ. We had a BLAST as usual with our friends! (Stacey I need your Nick's computer help!)

Today I have to say that we were bad. Very bad. We decided that we needed to take advantage of one of the blessings that God has given us... SUMMER. We had a semi-family (David, Sean, Mom and I) afternoon at the pool. We all suited up and headed out to catch some rays. Sean and David had fun with the torpedo and playing catch while Mom and I felt it entertaining to score their throws. How that was entertaining we don't know. Another blessing that we took advantage of something else that goes right along with summer... WATERMELON! It was delish'.

I am putting some pages up that I scrapped this weekend. It was SO nice to get back to something that I love. I have been so focused on my photography this past month that I have not had energy to scrap. I think that I did 4 or 5 pages between Saturday and Sunday! I truly do feel blessed to have been turned on to something that I get so much enjoyment out from. I think that it is just a bonus that I am good at it!

I thought that this page was fitting to include in the post today as I was a complete slacker this morning. I took this picture of my scriptures on Thursday after my dental appointment and this is what I scrapped with it. I really love how it came out. I am not going to type out the journaling, but if you can read it go ahead.

This next one is of Mr. B and his Pop (Grandpa). I am in love with this one! It was such a sweet moment. Last Sunday we were trying to eat while Mr. B was making his presence known to all. Dad picked him up and a calm came over him. I was lucky to have grabbed my camera when I did to catch the smooch. So sweet. Who knew my Dad had it in him. He is so funny because he will call Kyle and tell her, "Bring that Baby over here". Every time he holds him you heart just goes, "Ahhhhhhh".

Well folks, enjoy your Monday and get geared up for the holiday. I am excited for David because he gets to experience a 4 day work week with me this week. I am scared though. I think he might realize that it is wonderful, get jealous and want to be more like me and only get up early 4 days a week. Maybe his boss will go for that. I promise to check in more this week.

P.S. Happy travels to all of our friends that are traveling these next few weeks. Be safe. Call us if you need anything.
