I learned a few things this weekend...

1. Just because you had a root canal does not mean that your tooth stops hurting immediately. Yes, I had a root canal this past week. See the before and after photos below. Thank you Dr. Cunningham! He told me that I have very small nerve canals. The root on the tooth behind the one that I had worked on (#18 is the one with the work on it. #19 is the one behind it with the pointy root) has a root that should be on a wisdom tooth. Interesting... very interesting.
2. I love my house a TON more when it is clean! David and I have been working really hard on keeping our house tidy this past few weeks. We realized that while we love all of our new space on the bar, but it is NOT a catch all for our crap!
3. I am love summer.
4. Photography equipment is expensive, but worth every penny!
5. Buying new tires sucks.
6. As much as I hate getting up early for Church I love the feeling of the Spirit. I also know that my weeks go much smoother when I attend Church on Sundays.
7. I am REALLY addicted to "preserving memories", aka. digital scrapbooking.
8. I learned how to make drop shadows. This will most likely mean nothing to anyone, but Anna! Tonight I have been going back through my old pages and updating them with my new trick.
9. It is possible to go an entire weekend without buying anything for scrapping.
10. Oh, yeah. I also that Sunday afternoons are the best days to practice your Super Sleeping Skills!
11. David and I wish that we were in Vegas partyin' it up with Elias this weekend.

It was nice to have a low key weekend for once in a long while. David and I really just hung out together. Friday we grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed home. Saturday we were up pretty early (I know... shocking) and headed out to run around town. I needed some new photo equipment and Mario Kart for the Wii was on David's list of things to pick up. We ended up stopping by my parents' house because David wanted to go swimming and ended up staying all evening. It was nice. Kyle brought over the
little one for me to love on and Mom ordered pizza. Sean came home from work, Dad came downstairs and we all just sat in the living room laughing it up. It was unexpected, but great! I had almost forgotten what my family was like before this crazy year hit us.

Everyday used to be filled with turmoil in our family, but it is nice to have everyone back to their old selves. This is new for us, but it is going swimmingly(I thought that was a fun word to use). We are still getting used to the "new" family dynamic... but things are better than ever... insert jinx here.

There are a lot of goodies that I am posting today. I am in a good mood I guess.

Here are some layouts that I made tonight. I have not been feeling super creative so they are some scrap lifts off of pages that I just loved these past few weeks.

If you were at my Dad's party above and you didn't get on the page don't be sad. I only had so much room. Just know we still love you!

These two are from a kit that I bought a few weeks ago and just haven't had a chance to use yet, Dani Mogstad's, Her Royal Highness. I just love the colors and the well pink in the kit (of course)! Since I purchased it on it's first day of release they also gave me the brag book for free.

That is all that I have for tonight. I hope that everyone has a great start to their weeks. I hope that mine will be less busy that last week. I know that is just wishful thinking.
