...my pictures were! I am so happy. Everyone in the class really liked what I shot. My teacher pointed out some techinal errors that I made that I noticed as well. She told me after class that pictures don't have to be technically perfect to be beautiful. One of the students in the class (there are 5 us) said that he wished that he could get pictures like that. I thought that was nice of him. All of the other students used flowers/trees for their subjects. I am SO excited to get good (great) feedback. I know that not everyone will like my work. This is a good start. I know now, more that ever, that natural light portraits is what I want to focus on.
My assignment this week is to work with white balance. We also have to take a picture to freeze action and make it look like the action is still moving. I am pumped about this task. I already know what I am doing for it!!! I will post them when they are finished. I am also going to start shooting in the RAW. It will give me better control over my images in the editing process.
I also have my eye on one of these little cuties! The G3 is the one that I want to adopt(hahaha). This particular lens is just for fun. It is on the really cheap side, believe it or not, for lenses. They might as well give this away. I wish! This summer I am really going to sit down and see what my lens purchasing priority is going to be. My poor David he is such a trooper!
Tonight we (Mom, Sean, David and myself) are off to the game. The Royals game that is. I can feel a win... what a joke. Oh well, who really cares. One of my Mom's associates sent her 4 Dugout Box seats and a parking pass as a thank you for the refferals that she sends him. David is really excited! So am I really. I have packed up my camera and my lenses and can't wait to get some practice. (No, this is not what I am using for my "action" shot assignment.) We get these tickets from this particual Doctor about 3 to 4 times a season. They are right behind home plate!
Happy Wednesday!
(Please excuse any spelling errors. We all know that my major is college was very far from spelling words correctly. Bloggers spell check is down!)
