Lobster and Shrimp

Oh, the memories.  Skinny... bikini... tan... I almost remember what that was like... if I squint when I look in the mirror that is.  Right now it is way to late for me to be typing and I am burnt to a crisp.

Erin don't you wear sunscreen?  Well, yes friends I do.  Yep, I am roasted, toasted and red like a lobster.  Now, it is turning really into a shade of fresh shrimp.  That cross between red and orange and maybe tan about 3 days from now.  I do find it funny that someone deathly allergic to fish/shrimp related herself to the very thing that she has to stay as far away from as possible.  How did this happen you ask?  When I went to the pool with the family on Sunday I put on sunscreen only before I left.  While at the pool I was hounding everyone else to put on their sunscreen I forgot to reapply to myself.  I know... I am selfless.

Here is a page that is SO summer, even though the picture was taken in the month of January (Yes, Elias this is from our trip to the Bahamas), that it made me smile.  It not only made me smile because all I can think about is the beach this summer, but it made me smile because I remember what I looked like when I was "hot".  I was once considered "hot".  That makes me laugh now.  I hope you get as good of a chuckle out of this as I did tonight.  The wording says, "When I'm skinny I think I'm fat, but I sure miss looking like that!".

This week we are just jones-ing until the holiday.  Our friends have some land out south and we are going to go there for their fireworks show.  We are excited.  I also found this cute America shirt to wear for the festivities.

David sent his Mom a beautiful pair of earrings this past week. When he saw them he said that he thought of her. I know that they will look great. They are so sparkley. I know that David cannot wait to hear how much she liked them.  That is new and exciting.

We also have some sort of leak in the basement.  Yes, the fully finished and carpeted basement.  You read my mind, "$h!t".

Tomorrow... well I am not sure what is up for tomorrow.  I think that we are going to investigate in the basement some more for sure.  I want to practice some photography.  We are also getting geared up for Kyle's birthday that is on Wednesday.  She told me what she wants, but I have another idea too.  Lucky gal gets two gifts.  I will post a page that I did with one of her maternity photos I took back in May tomorrow in celebration.

Enjoy your Tuesday tomorrow!  Only two more days of work this week!
