The fun is over! Monday is here!

Whew! What a weekend it was!  David and I sure made the best of the three days that we had.  As usual it was fun and busy.

Friday for the holiday we went to my Mom and Dad's house for fun. David and I brought the whip cream for the flag cake and a bowl of homemade guacamole.  Swimming was the main event for the day.  Sean and David looked like fish and Mom and I did the usual at the pool... nothing.  BBQ was the usual.  Kyle had some friends come over and Nenee and Brennden joined us too. The house was full.  Fireworks were great.  My parents have some friends that are li licensed pyrotechnic people and they put on the best show every year.  This year was no exception and their show was 50 minutes long this year! There was also a band this year before the fireworks show!  A bonus?  I had some time to practice some of my shooting while out for the fireworks.

Saturday morning David took pity on me and drove with me to Lee's Summit to take Binx to the vet.  She was not feeling to well.  While Nenee and I went to the vet David played Wii with Brennden at Nenee's house.  When Nancy and I were out with the dogs we stopped by Mema's place so that she and her fellow residence could have some fun with the dogs.  The weather was just perfect and we actually sat out by the pond in the courtyard, watched the waterfall and the ducks until Nenee's dog chased them away.  Costco was next for all of us and then went to Nancy's to chill, Wii bowl and eat cream puffs for a healthy snack. Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice?

Today was a awesome day too!  Braxton was blessed during sacrament and everyone could feel the Spirit.  After church we met Sean for a swim.  This was a weekend of summer goodness.

On the agenda this week.  My birthday and house stuff.  We decided to nix the making a guest bedroom upstairs since we have the finished basement with another bathroom down there.  David and I decided that we are going to make the bigger of the two extra rooms with more windows my studio and the the other room a study.  Poor David.  He has moved around those room so many times for me in only two short years.  He doesn't know how much I appreciate it!  It is going to be great because the study will have the desks and one wall is going to be lined with cubby like shelving for my paper scrapbooking stuff.  We are also going to do a wall of photos similar to this.  These will have digiscrap layouts as well and photos of various other things.

David and I are also gearing up for a trip to Arizona at the end of the summer.  I am going to be going to this photography workshop hosted by two of my favorite portrait photographers.  We are trying to decide if we are going to drive or fly.  We really want to fly, but you have heard all the gas pricing stuff before.  We think that we might drive there for fun and then fly home.  We will just have to see.

Yes, friends I am also moving to typepad.  I have reached the max of blogspot's abilities and it is not enough for me.  I am in the process of getting it all ready of there and when it is done I will let you all know the url.

Happy Monday!
