... AND THE HOME OF THE...

CHIEEEEEEEEEFS!  Ahhhh, my boys are back!  Pre-season has begun and that means that the NFL regular football season is upon us in less than one month.  (I am counting down the days until the home opener.  A Nenee and her Borrowed Baby tradition).  My Nenee has season tickets to the Chiefs and she gave us her tickets (on club level), parking pass and pavilion wristbands for Saturday's game.  My Nenee lives less than one mile from Arrowhead Stadium and it took us FOREVER to get parked and in our seats.  This stadium is under construction just like our baseball stadium and so the entrances into it are drastically reduced.  This is BAD!  The game started at 7 p.m. and we left My Nenee's by 5:30 p.m.  This is usually plenty of time to park, go the pavilion and get a bite to eat and use the NICE and CLEAN and AIR CONDITIONED restrooms, but NO not anymore... and probably not for the next 3 years or until all of this work is done!  Lets just say that it is going to be three long seasons of parking.  Especially when you can watch the general admission parkers park and get to the stadium before you get to your reserved lot.  Not good Chiefs!

Friday night Mom brought over Mr. B for David and I to hang with.  We all ate dinner together and just hung out and talked.  I had made chicken enchiladas.  Yummy!  I also made some salsa and other yummies.

Today was the usual.  Church and exercising my Super Sleeper Skills.  At Church today they asked us to sub in Primary for the next few weeks to a month.  We are teaching the CTR 6 class.  David and I are excited to hang with the kiddos.  It is also the BEST form of birth control ever... watching other people's children.  This evening even David felt the need to practice his sleeping... this is rare.  I think that he was plum tuckered out tonight.

This weekend we also started leash training the puppies.  I have to say that they have taken this on with much success right from the start.  As most of you know our backyard (yes, it is fenced) backs up to two lakes, a playground and some open Kansas fields and that is where we took the pups.  They did AWESOME.  David and I keep them on the leashes until we got past the lakes and then let them loose in the field.  I wish that I had a video camera because it was so funny to watch them chase David.  You would have thought that the puppies were fighting for the gold they were running so hard.  Of course they never caught him, but we rewarded them anyway.  One thing that we have been thankful for with these pups is the fact that they drink a lot of water.  This is great for them.  It is also easy for us.  We take a plastic bowl with us the the park and fill it up a few times at the water fountains.  After they are done drinking they turn over the bowl and lay in the cold water.  It is the cutest.  Anyway, the way home we let them off their leashes and they jog with us home.  "The walk" is going to become our new best friend... after "the walk" Baron and Daisy practice their Super Sleeper Skills for HOURS!  Shhhh....

These are the pages that I did this evening.  The theme once again... puppies... this week it was Baron.

I am sure all of you know.  Tomorrow is Monday, and the Show It Tour.  Bring it on!

I'm so excited that you'll be in primary. You'll just love your class. This is for the Standly Ward, right?

Sorry for the slow response. Life is a bit busy. I've got your AZ trip dates on the calender. I'll have to talk to Robyn and see what she has planned. I was thinking possibly Saturday everyone could come out to my house for dinner and then go to our 5 year old's flag football game. Cory is the coach. It's at 7:00PM on the 20th of September, so the weather should be decent. The games are hilarious. We're looking forward to the visit.

No problem. We can come in there whenever also. I'll have to find out from Robyn what is going on.
