The Rundown

This afternoon while I was reading my favorite photographer's blog she perfectly described exactly how I was feeing about the weather. "The most brutal heat ever. As in, I think I just saw Satan cross the street with a Pepsi in hand." It is SO hot here in the Midwest. Our Summer has been really mild thus far, but it is on now. The humidity is the worst part of it all. There is no heat like the heat with 100% humidity you experience in Kansas! Trust me! While standing still and the only movement your body is making is you labored breath through the thick air... YOU ARE SWEATING!

A welcome addition, unlike the weather are our little cuties! As you can see to the side the pups are home... while we wish they looked like this all the time we have to be realistic. Daisy and Baron are just a riot. One minute there are running around the house after each other like a herd of cattle and the next they are down for the count. The picture on the top was the two of them chillin' in the kitchen while I cooked dinner on Thursday. The second was the two of them between our leather t.v. chairs. How can you not want to just blow them a kiss?

The weekend rundown:
Thursday evening David had class. My Nenee (Aunt Nancy) and a family friend came over to help me with the hair balls and keep me sane. When, David arrived home we just laughed at the fact that they were SO cute and SO full of energy. If I had to compare it to a child I would say a 3 year old after eating about 10 iced cupcakes. If you can imagine that kind of madness.

Friday I had the day off....yessssssss! I slept late, of course, and then I was on duty. The warden of the floors you could say. As warden I also made sure that nothing chewed by the beasts was over $10.00 and from anywhere except Pets Mart. This was a success. I ran out for a bit to get some doggy supplies that my Nenee left at the office for us. I also picked up my ring! It is good to have ol' sparkle back. I can feel like I am bling blingn' again. Friday evening was more patrolling the puppies.

Saturday we laid low. We tried to keep cool with the pups. Can you say our AC is set at 72 degrees? The dogs did not like going outside. Every time they would have to go out we would open the door. They both took about 3 steps back and you could tell that was when the heat hit em'. The padres' came to a Mexican Fiesta, just a Mexican themed dinner, at our house. Enchiladas, homemade salsa, cheese dip and chips were devoured by all. Yummmm. That evening our friends came over to see the furry madness that we have gotten' ourselves into and hangout.

Today was the usual. Church... to early. Lunch. Super sleeping by ME... like I would go all weekend without getting some of my skills in. I did scrap one page this weekend. More like lift, but one page none the less. It is a mish mash of Disney photos of David and I. David did tell me that he thinks he might want to go to Disney for his birthday instead of skiing... that sounds fun to me!

My lens is supposed to be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday. I AM SO EXCITED. I have been waiting forever since we ordered it. Well, it feels like forever.
Well, I am off to work! Have a good Monday. I know that I will try.
