I am going to recap David and my vacation to Phoenix one day at a time. There is just way to much to update for one post.
The alarm sounded at 4:30 in the morning on Tuesday. YIKES is right. Boy were we tired. As you know David and I are what you would call "night owls". We try and try to make it to bed early, but to no avail. We rarely make it to bed before midnight. Crazy I know. Well, this morning was no different. Once we were up and ready to go we loaded our gear and the dogs in the car and were off to Raytown. Nenee greeted us at the door, minus a smile. We then unpacked all the dogs (3) and their gear. Quickly, we taught Baron and Daisy (click link and scroll down to see the puppies if you have not before) how to do stairs so that they could go from the patio to the backyard while we were gone. (I know. Teaching them a little late, but better late than never. Plus, we didn't want them going up and down the stairs in our house just yet.) Since they are quick learners we were done and on our way to the airport in no time.
Our flight was an 8:15 a.m. The plane was boarded by David, myself and our fellow travelers on time only to sit, and sit some more while American Airlines "quickly" fixed a part. Oh, thank you. I love to hear we are fixing something on the plane my husband and I are about to ride cross country. Their "quickness" took over and hour. An hour and a half to be exact. When we finally made it to Dallas we sprinted (Something I don't do. I didn't get this figure by accident.) to make our connections. Whew... we made it. Landing in Phoenix we were barreled over by the heat. Heat is not even the word. I think that the heat that we endured this week is how Satan himself would describe hell... HOT.
We were off after we picked up the rental car. We stopped at the Chandler Fashion Center so that I could go to Downeast Outfitters to get some tops and tanks. Then, we ate at... drum roll please... IN AND OUT. Holllllllla! My favorite!
We headed to Robyn (David's sister) and Anthony's (Robyn's husband) condo after our brief encounter with the mall. We changed clothes to get ready for the baseball game and waited for them to get home. The baseball game was fun. The Diamondbacks won... I think. The four of us ate at Cibo for dinner. DELICIOUS is what is was! David and I split a Margherita pizza and the heavenly dessert they call the Fresca. Mmmmm.

There you have it folks. Day 1 in a nut shell. You just read the short version minus the hurry up and wait at the airport, sweating, and shlupping of my heavy suitcase and camera gear.
David and I are tired tonight and are really going to try and make it to bed before midnight. Really. Before I forget. Here are the links to the texture overlays that I was talking to the women at The Workshop about. One I have is from Sweet Shoppe Designs by Penny Springman. You can find them here. The other one I love is at A Cherry on Top by Danielle Catalano-Titus. You can find that link here. Nichole Van also has some great textures for photographers, too. That link can be found here.
Oh, and since I have been gone I will leave you with a page from David and my scrapbook. The picture in this layout is from our trip to California last March. This pretty much sums up how David and I feel at the moment... happy and tired. Have a great Tuesday!
