I have to say that this was an exceptionally great weekend. I am not sure exactly what it was. Maybe the good company, good food and fun activities... whatever it was David and I liked it. I last left you on Thursday.
David took the evening off from school. I didn't even care that he didn't go to class. I was glad to have him home, and no, not just to help me with the puppies. I am not sure that we did anything too exciting just dog stuff. Before that and after a less than perfect day at work I did need to drop my car off to be serviced. There were a few things that needed to be tweaked and taken care of.
My drop off time was 4 p.m. When I had spoken to the service manager I told him that I would need a loaner car... duh... I can't walk every where for the next 24 hours. Anyway, when I got there they were not ready for me. Okay. I waited. Finally it was my turn. One of the problems with my car is that the Bose speakers are rattling, especially the sub-woofer in the back. This does not make David and I happy. So, when I took the service manager out to the car (mind you we have had this same complaint for almost 2 years) he said that he didn't hear anything. Whatever. I am not deaf and neither is David (Well, he hears what he wants. hehehe). I just ignored what he said and repeated that David had talked to Bose and they said that the dealership needed to solve the problem because it is probably not the speakers, but something inside the car near the speakers that is rattling. I told him that if he had questions he could call my Husband. Moving on. After this whole, "I don't hear anything" I had to wait for my
loaner. It is now 4:20 p.m. and I arrived at 3:50 p.m. and after a hard day at work my patience was running low. When they finally bring me my loaner they told me that I had to pay for it. It was actually a rental from Enterprise next door. YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME! I didn't know anything about this arrangement. I was about to just give in and do it and argue about it later, but the more I thought about it the more I disagreed (to say the least). I explained to them that a "loaner" was not a "rental" and that if I would have known that I had to "rent" a car I would have had my parents bring me one of theirs prior to me arriving. He did not relent. He expected me to pay. I was shocked. I had a BMW before this car and I not once had to wait or PAY for a "loaner". I was especially shocked because my car was there to be serviced for things that are covered under David and my warranty policy. Needless to say I decided to not leave my car there after talking to David. Now, my car has not been serviced, we need a new dealership and I am wishing we still had the BMW so that when my 3 series was being serviced they would give me a brand new 5 series. I am high mantiance I know.

Friday was my usual. I did cut my hair that morning though. It looks stunning as you can imagine. I popped into the office for a few hours and did somethings there that I didn't get done on Thursday. My Mom and I also went to UMKC to meet my brother so my Mom could buy his books (boy does that boy have it made in the shade). That was fun for me because I had only been there a few times when I had looked at the school... when I thought I was going to go to their Dental School. It was also really fun for my Mom since that is where she graduated from Dental School. She had this glow about her. You could just see all of her great memories coming to her mind. My Mom showed me where she used to wait for my Dad after class and fun stuff like that. After Sean picked up this MANY books he we off to the Plaza. I LOVE THE PLAZA and do not go down there as often as I would like. Friday was a beautiful day so we all agreed on lunch at The Cheesecake Factory on the patio. Holllllla at cha' girl... I love that place. Try their Strawberry Lemonade if you have not! Sean and I enjoyed them! Friday night was devoted to... none other than... Digi Scrapping. What? Did you think that I was going to say David or cleaning?
Saturday. Great. Slept it. David had the cable guy come and fix our high speed Internet. Now, I am back among the quick down loaders of the world. I scrapped. We met our friends Jenny and Tom at Cinzettie's (this is why I'm fat) for an early dinner. Then, it was off to their house to hangout and go to a sort of ice cream social. That was SO much fun. Mostly it was all people from church, but not people that we see or hang with often. What a blast. At the ice cream get together I also found out that there where digital scrappers in our ward. As you can imagine I was excited. There is NO one here that I know that does it. Rock on.
Today I overslept... what a surprise. We were subbing for the CTR 6 Primary teacher so we missed Sacrament, but made it for all of Primary. However, before I could really even get going I burned myself while making breakfast. How old am I? Too old to be burning myself cooking. I have not burned myself since I was probably 12 years old and I had forgotten how much it HURTS. I was floored by how much one little burn can get you. David was very sympathetic though and I appreciated that.
Primary was the cutest thing ever! Since I never had the chance to be in Primary, as a child, I had a blast. The lessons were fun along with the activities. Not to mention that the kids... the cutest. They were probably cuter to me since David and I didn't have to take any of them home with us. Our class was great and FULL of energy. In primary I also met more digi scrappers... YESSSS. We swapped information and I hope that we will be able to get together soon.
I counted and in total I cranked out 11 pages this weekend. Out of the 11 about 5 were lifts. I love lifts. I broke up my scrapping into subjects this weekend. I did some home/yard, wedding and California orchard pictures. Here are two yard layouts that I scrapped:

(We found this pear tree in the very back corner of our yard about 2 weeks ago. Never mind the fact that we have lived in this house for 2 years.)
The next three are some pictures from our last trip to California. Remember these Anna?

This page below, California Kisses, is now my new ALL TIME FAVORITE! I am in love with this page. David and the pups voted too and they agreed with me. We are in love. It was not even hard. It did not take more than 30 minutes, but it surpasses the rest. I wonder how long it will be before it gets knocked out of first place? If you could not tell already... I AM AN ADDICT! Can you refer me to a 12 step program?
If you have hung in to this point you have patients of a saint. While I love to share what David and I are up to I blog so that David and I will have a semi-journal we can save, print and bind. Have a great weekend. Savor what is left of the Summer! If you didn't see the Closing Ceremonies for the Olympics you missed out.
*David Jay totally commented on my blog! Boo-ya! (I told you I was bringing that phrase back!)*
