There was an accident this weekend. Yes, everyone is okay. However, there was a causality.
Do you remember this post? Yes, well now that you have refreshed your memories... you will remember how I said that I opened the box to this lens so fast that "you would have thought that I was Ralphie in The Christmas Story [movie] opening my Red Ryder BB gun".
This is a picture of my beloved before the accident...
Please, stop crying. Gather your emotions. Grab a Kleenex and let me continue... with my broken heart. What you are seeing above is what was my favorite lens. I am not going to get into the details... it is just too hard to relive over and over. My camera shop said it was the worst break they had ever seen. Especially since half of it was still wedged in my camera body when I arrived. (My camera body is okay). The lens fixer guy said, WOW... you are going to have to see if Canon can fix that. We all chuckled for a minute... and by minute I mean second... and my second I really mean millisecond. Not funny at all.
Just to let your mind at ease... I have full coverage insurance with no deductible. Amen.
To my first real photographer's lens... Rest in Peace knowing I love you. You will not be forgotten. A moment of silence please...

Dang that sucks!! I would love to know how that happened. If its too hard to relive, I understand.:)
I gathered the crew - my 24-70, my 50, the MACRO and even the long tall one. We had a moment of silence for your beloved. So, so tragic, and so very young. 70-200 can't even talk about it right now, he's so upset. We just left him alone to cry. When he's ready, he'll share. Until then, he's sitting quietly in my studio with his thoughts. Please let us know if there's anything we can do.
In memory,
Kami and the gang
